Why I choose to live in the best city in America, San Francisco!
San Francisco is a city that is often misunderstood. There are so many more things to see in San Francisco than someone can imagine. Most people know about Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge, but there is so much more. I’ve lived my entire life in San Francisco. I’ve traveled around the world and could live anywhere I choose, I choose to live in San Francisco.
San Francisco has some amazing weather at some odd times. The fact that San Francisco is surrounded by water has an effect on the weather. San Francisco rarely has snow, but rain on the other hand can happen most any month of the year. The weather in San Francisco is temperate all year around. The best time to visit is really from September to November.
The great weather in San Francisco allows the city to have festivals all year around. The San Francisco Sports and Boat Festival in January kicks the year off and the New Year’s Eve party closes it down. There is something for every taste. From the Cherry Blossom Festival in mid April with its martial arts displays to the San Francisco Fair with its sophisticated urban party, San Francisco has a festival for everyone to enjoy.
San Francisco has diversity that is unmatched in this country. There are more than 100 neighborhoods in the San Francisco Bay Area. The most famous neighborhood is Chinatown. San Francisco’s Chinatown is so realistic that you will think you are actually in China. The restaurants are amazing. The fireworks during the Chinese New Year are unbelievable. The people in Chinatown will make you feel welcome. It is one of my favorite neighborhoods.
If museums are your thing then San Francisco has what you are looking for. In the downtown area, there are 4 museums. There are four museums that are within walking distance from one another. This makes it easy for someone to see them all in a single day. These are world class museums that have something for everyone.
These are just a few examples of why I have decided to live and work in San Francisco. A reason for someone to move to San Francisco is the great deals in real estate. If you go to San Francisco homes for sale you can check out some great deals in real estate. When you look at what is available and the other great aspects of living in San Francisco you will understand why I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

The clock in my classroom for this term appears to be set five minutes slow. Which is an improvement over the one in the hall that’s ten minutes slow, but kind of plays hell with starting and ending class on time. It is, however, a great excuse for a poll:
Clocks in academic buildings should be set:survey software
Combine the odd clock settings with our daft class schedule (to make our ten-week terms nominally equivalent to standard semester classes, we teach in 65-minute blocks instead of the more typical 50-minute blocks. This means that classes start and end at odd times, which I’ve never entirely gotten used to.), and it’s looking like a disorienting term…

Well, it's kind of a long way out to forecast my group rides at this point, but I would say there is approximately a 100% chance of my attending either Como Street World's or Fred Park Natz if not both. A 60% chance of doing the New Year's Day ride depending on if we are back from camping, and there is a slight chance of scattered other group rides.
Tweets coming from San Francisco today! The weather is foggy, & this photo describes my mood!
Dana Carvey When he was three years old, his family moved to San Carlos, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. He received his first drum kit at an early age. He attended Tierra Linda Junior High in San Carlos, Carlmont High School in Belmont, California
Where are you staying? The golden gate park has a lot of intertwined trails- you can pretty much run as far or as little as you want.
[...] I’ve been watching the news a lot, specifically all the reports on the Japan quake and tsunami. Whenever I switched over to the closer-to-home side of things, every single local news broadcast showed the same thing: Bay Area people upset about their boats. See, the catastrophe in Japan triggered waves that eventually reached the San Francisco Bay Area. In Santa Cruz, waves rolled through the marina, sending boats bobbing like toys in the tub a … Read More [...]
