When we announced earlier this week that surveyed users preferred Gigablast’s search results to Ask.com’s results by a 30% margin in a blind “taste test,” I thought Gigablast might have more time to enjoy the moment. Who knew Ask might raise the white flag so soon…

Admittedly, Gigablast has a long way to go in terms of market share, and a tough road ahead, but our quality search results certainly make us a real alternative to the dwindling group of current search leaders.

Others have said it, but I’ll repeat it: this is certainly going to be an exciting year in search.

It really is important for every believer to search out scripture and see if what they are being taught lines up with what scripture actually says. We can do that in several ways. When we hear scriptures being talked about we can go back to that scripture and see if it is being used correctly and in context. when we hear people teaching certain topics we can search the Bible for what it says about those topics.

I see clients who have never had an SEO audit, or haven’t done one in a long time. Not doing an audit is extremely odd to me – how can you possibly know what to work on if you haven’t conducted the baseline research? Conduct regular audits is also crucially important. Sure, we all watch the SERP’s and monitor dozens of other statistics on an extremely regular basis, but I’ve also found that can cause some amount of tunnel vision. I’ve encouraged some clients to go to competitors just so they can secure a more objective and fresh-eyed review of their current situation.

[...] I’ve been watching the news a lot, specifically all the reports on the Japan quake and tsunami. Whenever I switched over to the closer-to-home side of things, every single local news broadcast showed the same thing: Bay Area people upset about their boats. See, the catastrophe in Japan triggered waves that eventually reached the San Francisco Bay Area. In Santa Cruz, waves rolled through the marina, sending boats bobbing like toys in the tub a … Read More [...]
