Why I choose to live in the best city in America, San Francisco!
San Francisco is a city that is often misunderstood. There are so many more things to see in San Francisco than someone can imagine. Most people know about Fisherman’s Wharf, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge, but there is so much more. I’ve lived my entire life in San Francisco. I’ve traveled around the world and could live anywhere I choose, I choose to live in San Francisco.
San Francisco has some amazing weather at some odd times. The fact that San Francisco is surrounded by water has an effect on the weather. San Francisco rarely has snow, but rain on the other hand can happen most any month of the year. The weather in San Francisco is temperate all year around. The best time to visit is really from September to November.
The great weather in San Francisco allows the city to have festivals all year around. The San Francisco Sports and Boat Festival in January kicks the year off and the New Year’s Eve party closes it down. There is something for every taste. From the Cherry Blossom Festival in mid April with its martial arts displays to the San Francisco Fair with its sophisticated urban party, San Francisco has a festival for everyone to enjoy. I really wanted to show my wife I love her no matter what time of the year it is.
My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years. We have been through good times and bad times, flush and lean times. The thing that has been consistent has been that she has always been there for me.
When we first got married I bought her a new watch. This was a very nice watch and she wore it all the time. Then one day, about 3 months ago, the band broke and the watch fell in the road as she was crossing the street. Well you know where this is going, a car ran over the watch and it ended up in a thousand pieces. She was devastated.
I told her to look online and compare watches and find one that she liked. She took my advice and did her research. She was drawn to the Movado Watches. She liked the style of the Esperanza Black Dial. I told her that we just couldn’t afford to spend over $1,100 for a new watch. She understood but was very disappointed. She doesn’t know the real story.

All Eyes on TS Bonnie
Everyone along the gulf coast has one eye peeled on Tropical Storm Bonnie, which as of this post, is shooting the gap south of the Florida Everglades. She will be entering the gulf of Mexico and has a very slight chance of intensifying.
Luckily, the storm has taken a slight jog to the north so the forecast track is now adjusted (as of 10 am CST) to bring Bonnie further east for a landfall near New Orleans of somewhat east of NOLA. Also the intensity forecast is still growth to a strong tropical storm.
So good news and bad.
Good news: Bonnie will probably hit quick and be over by mid-week without growing to a hurricane
Bad news: Looks like she is headed right for the B.P. Deep Water Horizon oil spill area. That could create many new problems and delays.
We’re watching… and praying.
